Pavlo Sheremeta

BIO:

Pavlo Sheremeta is a Ukrainian economist and former Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine. He holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Lviv University and an MBA from Emory University in Atlanta, USA. He furthered his education with management development programs at Harvard Business School, the INSEAD Blue Ocean Strategy Institute, and the China Europe International Business School.

In 1999 Mr. Sheremeta established the Kyiv-Mohyla Business School, serving as its first Dean. He contributed as Vice-President of the Central and East European Management Development Association from 2006 to 2010. Notably, he was part of Malaysia’s “Blue Ocean Strategy Institute” team advising on economic reforms from 2008 to 2011. From 2012 to 2014, he was President of the Kyiv School of Economics. In 2014, he assumed the role of Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Ukraine until his resignation in September 2014. Beyond this, he is the Founding Director of the School of Public Management at the Ukrainian Catholic University and a Senior Fellow in Economics at CEPA – Centre for European Policy Analysis in Washington, D.C.
