Oleg Petrenko

BIO:

Oleg Petrenko is a former Head of the National Health Service of Ukraine. After graduating in medicine from Vinnytsia National Medical University in 1998, he earned a master’s degree in healthcare management from the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy School of Healthcare and Maastricht University in 2006. Throughout his career, Petrenko assumed various significant roles, including Executive Director of the School of Healthcare at Kyiv-Mohyla Academy, Director of Strategic Development at Universal Clinic ‘Oberig,’ and Deputy CEO of the ISIDA Obstetrics and Gynecology Clinic in Kyiv. Notably, he played an active part in public service, contributing to healthcare reform initiatives.

Among his notable achievements, Petrenko participated in the Strategic Advisory Group responsible for shaping Ukraine’s national healthcare strategy for 2015-2020. His accomplishments led to his appointment as the head of the newly established National Health Service of Ukraine on February 27, 2018, a role he diligently fulfilled until his voluntary resignation on November 25, 2019.
