Mustafa Nayyem

BIO:

Mustafa Nayyem, born in Kabul, Afghanistan, and later moved to Ukraine in 1991, is a multifaceted individual whose journey encompasses journalism, education, public service, and leadership. With a degree in Aerospace Systems from the National Technical University of Ukraine, he subsequently earned a Master’s in Law from Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Nayyem’s journalistic career spanned from 2005 to 2014, during which he excelled as a journalist, editor, and media manager at renowned Ukrainian publishers, receiving notable awards for his contributions.

A pivotal figure in Ukraine’s transformation, Nayyem played an instrumental role in launching the country’s Patrol Police between 2014 and 2019, demonstrating his commitment to effective governance. Beyond this, he enriched the academic landscape as a lecturer and course author at the Kyiv School of Economics (KSE). Nayyem’s dynamic engagement extended to politics, leading to his role as a People’s Deputy of Ukraine and, on August 4, 2021, his appointment as Deputy Minister of Infrastructure, showcasing his enduring dedication to his nation’s progress and development.
