BIO:
Alim Aliev is a journalist, human rights defender, and manager of educational and cultural projects. He currently serves as the Deputy Director of the Ukrainian Institute and is known for his previous roles as a journalist at the Crimean newspaper Avdet and co-founder of Crimea SOS NGO. With extensive experience as an analyst and communications consultant at pro.mova, Aliev has worked with numerous clients, aiding in media relations, research, and organizing media events involving prominent figures like Madeleine Albright. Alim Aliev’s commitment extends to his role as the program director of the Crimean House, a center focusing on culture, education, human rights, and research. He’s an active co-author, curator, and advocate, emphasizing topics like occupied Crimea, humanitarian policy, and the state of the Crimean Tatar people.
