Viktor Pynzenyk

Viktor Pynzenyk is an esteemed economist and politician. He earned a master’s degree in economics from Lviv State University in 1975. Later he continued his academic journey with a Ph.D. from Kyiv State Economics University and a Doktor of Science degree from Moscow State University. Pynzenyk held notable roles, such as Vice-Prime Minister and Minister of Economy, contributing significantly to Ukraine’s transition to a market economy. He made pivotal contributions to economic reforms and was a prominent member of the Verkhovna Rada, championing principles of balanced budgets and realistic revenue sources.

Throughout his dynamic career, Pynzenyk made remarkable strides in academia and public service, displaying a deep commitment to Ukraine’s economic progress. Notably, he served as the Minister of Finance under Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko’s Cabinet and held leadership positions in financial institutions.
