Mariia Berlinska

BIO:

Mariya Berlinska holds a Master’s degree in history from the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Transitioning from a student of history to an army volunteer, drone pilot, and now a documentary producer, Berlinska embodies resilience and dedication.

At the forefront of the Ukrainian Center for Aerial Reconnaissance, she trains personnel in operating unmanned aerial vehicles and supplies drones to the army. Berlinska’s contributions extend beyond combat as she produces a documentary highlighting women’s roles in the military. After putting her studies on hold following the EuroMaidan Revolution, Berlinska delved into drone piloting, eventually founding a drone piloting school: “Air Intelligence Support Center” within her alma mater.

In a war-ravaged Ukraine, Berlinska’s drones provide crucial reconnaissance capabilities, aiding soldiers’ safety by detecting shelling and impending attacks. Despite the challenging environment and limited resources, she remains steadfast, demonstrating the power of innovation in conflict resolution. Berlinska’s dedication echoes through her work, embodying the unyielding spirit of Ukraine’s fight for survival and progress.
