Ivan Gomza

BIO:

Ivan Gomza, PhD, serves as the Academic Director of the Public Policy and Governance Program at the Kyiv School of Economics in Ukraine. Trained in political science, he earned his doctorate in 2012 from the Joint Franco-Ukrainian Ph.D. Program between the University of Paris X-Nanterre and the Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. Dr. Gomza’s academic journey includes fellowships with DAAD, Fulbright, Petrach, and Petro Jacyk Non-Resident Scholar programs.

His research interests encompass topics like – warfare, democratization, nationalism, and governance. With two published books and articles featured in outlets like the Journal of Democracy and Nationality Papers, Dr. Gomza contributes significantly to scholarly discourse. He is also actively involved in teaching, offering academic courses and public lectures at Kyiv School of Economics and Kyiv-Mohyla Academy.
